About LA Resin Art

LA Resin Art

Hi! My name is Lauren Andrews and I am LA Resin Art! I've always considered myself to be "crafty", but never found that one thing that truly defined me... Until I discovered resin! Admittedly, I'm no expert in resin art, I learn more-and-more every day. But that's what makes epoxy resin truly amazing! Between all of the different pigments and types of pigments that can be used, different ways it can be poured, various substrates it can be poured onto, molds it can be poured into, and even different types of resin you can use, the possibilities are ENDLESS! And without a doubt, the beauty in a finished piece of resin art is unparalleled!

At LA Resin Art, You'll find a wide variety of handmade products- from canvas paintings to pendent necklaces, and more! I'm constantly exploring new techniques and trying out new substrates, molds, and new materials, so you can always expect to see new one-of-a-kind resin LA Resin Art pieces regularly being added to the website.
At LA Resin Art, you can take comfort in knowing that every resin creation is made using high quality pigments and resin. A lot of time, thought, and work goes into creating each-and-every one of my resin creations. Every porous surface is sealed and primed. Every piece is top-coated with resin that is scratch resistant, FDA certified food safe, and contains added UV-inhibitors (all coasters are also top-coated with heat-resistant resin). Only lightfast pigments are used, preventing color fading. Pieces are carefully sanded for a continuously smooth edge. And finally, Edges are painted, trays are given a final sealing, and necklaces are assembled. I am thorough in every step of the way to ensure that each-and-every one of my handmade creations are lasting in durability, vivid in color, and can be enjoyed many years to come.

Curious About the Resins I Use?

There are 2 different resin brands that I use in all LA Resin Art pieces.

Art Resin was created specifically for artists looking to capture and protect the beauty in their artwork. Art Resin has industry-leading UV inhibitors is, 100% Food Safe, scratch resistant, and always leaves a glorious shine.  Art Resin also takes 1-2 weeks to fully cure, and is the resin that I use in all of my paintings, geodes, serving trays, and necklaces.

Stone Coat Countertops Art Coat is one of the best resins in the market, especially with the extended working time and heat-resisting capabilities; in fact, it has the highest heat resistance of any resin that I have ever come accross, making it the perfect resin for top-coating coasters. But because of the high heat-resistance, Stone Coat's Art Coat takes much longer to fully cure (approximately 30 days).

And just like with Art Resin, Stone's Art Coat is also scratch resistant, 100% food safe, and contains added UV inhibitors.

Walrus Cutting Board Oil and Wax

Walrus Cutting Board Oil
Just like with any wooden cutting board or wooden charcuterie/cheese tray, you'll want to periodically treat the wood to keep it protected. Not only does Walrus Cutting Board Oil penetrate the wooden surface of cutting boards and serving trays with wood-preserving ingredients, but it also seals the surface with water-repelling beeswax. And with all natural ingredients, Walrus Cutting Board Oil is 100% FDA certified food safe!

Walrus Cutting Board Wax
Walrus Cutting Board Wax is the perfect step 2 in preserving any wooden cutting board or wooden charcuterie/cheese board. Just like with Walrus Cutting Board Oil, the wax is also made with all natural ingredients and is 100% FDA certified food safe. The wax adds an additional layer of protection against moisture, while also reviving the natural woodgrain and adding a beautiful shine to the surface.
